About Me

My photo
Helen A. Lockey
I am a former server turned informative underground food journalist. I like to cook using local ingredients. I have visited many farms, ranches, dairies, community gardens, urban farms, farm-to-table restaurants and wineries in Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina, and even Maine. I have also interviewed companies that use sustainable practices. Occasionally, I go under cover to farm-to-table restaurants to see how they are preparing fresh, local ingredients.
