Here are some pics of my favorite drinks and dishes of the year, around the state of Florida.
Food Network South Beach Food and Wine Festival, Miami
From The Garden To The Glass, (cocktail clinic) with Zane Lamprey.
Grilled pineapple margarita, sweetened with Agave and tasting of smoked pineapple.
Swank Specialty Produce (hydroponic farm), Loxahatchee
Luncheon with chef Dean James Max
Francois Montand, Blanc de Blans, brut sparkling wine with floating herbs and edible marigolds.
Hani's Gourmet goat cheese bread, made with the mildest goat cheese I have ever tasted.
Vegan Caviar (made with sea vegetables) on pasta. It had the same popping texture of fish caviar.
Share Our Strength's Taste of The Nation, Ft. Lauderdale
Joe's Stone Crab Restaurant booth
Frozen dots dessert, a treat just as fun to eat as to watch being made.
Possum Trot Farm, vegetarian lunch stop
Jackfruit seeds in Florida grown Sem Chi rice. The seeds tasted slightly like dense chick peas.
Pathways to the Summit with Earth Learning, Miami
Regenerative Farm Tour
Possom Trot Farm, vegetarian lunch stop
Carambola pie with butter crust
Peruvian vegetarian mushroom ceviche with red onion
The Addiction vegan dessert, made with almond butter, agave nectar, organic brown rice cereal (for crunch), powdered soy and coconut oil. These were creamy, crunchy, and everything nice.
Wyland Living Green Fair, Boca Raton
chef Jeremy Salamon's cooking demo
Pumpkin soup (using Green Cay produce) with orange zest and chili peppers. The zest gave it a fresh, lively taste.

Mushroom crostini with Gorgonzola cheese (from Whole Foods Market). What can I say, mushrooms and cheese on crunchy bread, yum.
Look forward to more delicious foods and drinks in 2012.
